Yesterday the NHS marked 75 years of service
We are very proud of this free healthcare system, available to all, which treats over a million people a day.
However in the last few years the NHS, and in particular primary care, has been under increasing strain.
Whilst we proudly celebrate its 75th birthday, we feel it is also important to raise awareness of the challenges faced by general practice, and the reasons for which it is becoming increasingly difficult to book an appointment with your GP.
