Travel Clinic

Planning a trip abroad?

If you are planning a trip abroad and require travel health advice our nurses run a weekly clinic to provide advice and vaccinations. This is only bookable through reception once you have completed a travel form and had a reply from us.

A separate form is required for all members of the family travelling. Please complete our Travel Form here.

The form needs to be submitted with a minimum of 8 weeks before your travel date. Any forms submitted with less than 8 weeks before travelling will not be processed and you will be advised to seek advice from a private travel clinic. See the links below for alternative local travel health clinics.

Please be aware that at peak times we may not have an appointment available for you to receive vaccinations and some vaccines may require a course so please make sure you leave plenty of time to get protected.

If we cannot offer you an appointment will advise you to seek private advice and vaccination. Find more information about your travel destination on the Travel Health Pro website.

You can ask reception for a copy of previous vaccinations to help you decide which vaccines you might need to consider.

Travel vaccines available via your GP practice (free of charge)

  • Diphtheria
  • Tetanus
  • Polio (DTP, triple vaccine - schedule dependant on previous vaccinations)
  • Hepatitis A (2 doses at 0 and 6-12months later, only one dose is required for initial travel, the second dose will provide up to 25 years of immunity).
  • Typhoid (updated every 3 years)

The Hadleigh Practice offers vaccines provided free on the NHS. Other vaccines incur a cost, and we suggest you shop around for the best prices.

We recommend that you are up to date with your routine UK recommended vaccinations. View the current UK Health Security Agency routine Immunisation schedule.
